Paintball Goggles

Paintball players must wear protective paintball goggles anytime they are on the field of play. Paintball goggles are also called masks because they completely cover the mouth, ears, and face of a player. They come in different colors and can be purchased in camouflage for games that take place in the woods.

Some paintball goggles are so large that they cover not only the face but also cover the throat. This is important because the throat is such a sensitive area and paint balls travel at a high velocity. Players should note that any gun that fires a paintball above regulation speed can cause damage to skin protected by a paintball mask.

Paintball goggles are also designed to reduce fogging. Warm breath from the mouth and nose can reduce clarity of the goggles. Some masks have electric fans to keep the lens dry. A less expensive option involves purchasing an antifog solution to apply to the mask.
